The iconic venue finally opens its doors this week!
The Windmill first opened in 1910 as a 320-seater theatre in the heart of Soho. The venue gained notoriety for its avant-garde variety acts and will be remembered throughout history for its motto ‘We Never Closed’ as the theatre continued to present its shows daily throughout World War II. This Soho icon was acquired by Amrit Walia and Ryan Bishti (founder of Cream group) in 2018. The Windmill Soho is their first hospitality venture together. Joining the team with a wealth of hospitality experience under his belt is Jordan Rocca, he is involved in many famous venues in the nightlife industry across the globe.
A future inspired by the past, The Windmill Soho will be a beacon of London’s nightlife once again, coming back to life with excitement and electricity. The venue will deliver a premium experience with alluring and never-seen-before variety acts taking place on the stage each night, all exclusive to the venue. The dinner shows will include a modern twist on cabaret with spectacular acts hosted by the resident compère.
The dining menu has been created by Michelin starred Chef Andrew McLeish. Featuring lavish Sashimi Platters and Atilius Osietra caviar alongside other sumptuous light bites such as a fresh ceviche and tuna & black sesame Tacos. Luxurious truffle parmesan taglioni, whole grilled dover sole take centre stage alongside, roasted harissa cauliflower, Wagyu sliders and roast rack of lamb. Signature desserts are focused on fun such as popping candy and vanilla lollipops.
The unique cocktail menu has been designed by celebrated mixologist Andy Mil of Cocktail Trading Co. Every one of his cocktail creations pay homage to The Windmill’s extraordinary history.
