A brand-new festive spectacle is arriving in North London as Christmas on the Heath makes its debut on East Heath in Hampstead. Running from Friday 11 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, the seasonal event combines a traditional big-top circus production from Zippos Circus alongside a family-friendly fun fair and a Christmas tree market.
At the heart of the experience is Zippos Circus, featuring a heated red-and-white big top packed with world-class performers. The storyline follows ringmaster Paulo on a magical journey in search of his Christmas gifts, guided by clowning elf helpers. The international cast includes aerialists, acrobats, jugglers, giant puppet polar bears, dancers, the high-octane Motorcycle Globe, and an appearance from Santa himself.
A featured highlight of this year's lineup is a daring new crossbow act performed by British aerialist Jackie Louise and her partner, Brazilian motorcyclist Valter, who developed the breathtaking routine specially for the holiday season.
Beyond the big top, visitors can explore the Kidz World Fun Fair, featuring safe family rides and classic dodgems. Adding to the holiday convenience, local specialists Shoots and Leaves will be on site until Christmas Eve, allowing families to select fresh Christmas trees complete with options for home delivery and post-holiday collection. Guests can also enjoy traditional treats including candy floss and luxury hot chocolate as they enter through the traditional red picket fence into the festive grounds.
Speaking on the launch, Circus Director Beau Denning said: "We are so excited to start a new tradition with Christmas on the Heath full of family friendly circus excitement and all the fun of a family friendly fair in one place. Hampstead Heath is the perfect backdrop for a winter spectacular, and we look forward to welcoming families to delight in everything that is Traditional Festive Family Celebration!"
Performances take place at Hampstead Heath's Lower Fairground Site on East Heath Road, with showtimes at 3pm and 6pm daily, and 12pm and 3pm on Sundays. Tickets and full schedule information are available via the Zippos website or on site at the box office.
