Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is set to enter its historic 75th year in the West End, with producer Brian Fenty announcing major investments to revitalize the world’s longest-running production. The landmark anniversary will be celebrated with a special Gala Performance at St Martin’s Theatre on 25 November 2026, featuring a brand-new West End cast, reimagined production elements, and a complete interior refresh of its historic theatre home.
Director Hannah Chissick takes the helm for this new West End era, bringing a fresh company of actors to the iconic murder mystery starting 11 November 2026. The new cast includes Sarah Twomey as Mollie Ralston, Dan Nicholson as Giles Ralston, Jonathan Cobb as Detective Sergeant Trotter, Jake Rory as Christopher Wren, Gay Soper as Mrs Boyle, Marcus Adolphy as Major Metcalf, Rosa Coduri-Fulford as Miss Casewell, and Dean Graham as Mr Paravicini.
To complement the performance, the production features an updated set design by Walt Spangler, lighting design by Nic Farman, and sound design by Max Perryment. Beyond the stage, the historic Grade II listed St Martin’s Theatre is undergoing a major interior refurbishment led by Studio Shayne Brady, alongside bespoke cocktail menus crafted for the venue’s bars by Mr Lyan Studio.
First staged in the West End on 25 November 1952 after originating as the radio play Three Blind Mice, Christie’s genre-defining masterpiece remains a cornerstone of British theatre. The thriller follows seven strangers snowed in at Monkswell Manor who discover a killer is hidden among them as secrets from their pasts begin to unfold.
Producer Brian Fenty emphasized that every element of the new investment serves to honor Christie’s rich storytelling, ensuring the production remains as gripping for modern audiences as it was on opening night in 1952. Director Hannah Chissick expressed her deep honor in guiding the legendary show into its 75th year. Tickets for the anniversary season at St Martin's Theatre start from £25 and are available below.
