Josh Andrews Productions has announced that acclaimed television and stage star Tom Chambers will join author and actor Giovanna Fletcher in the world premiere stage production of Before I Go To Sleep. Adapted from S J Watson’s international multi-million-copy bestselling psychological thriller, the major tour launches at Richmond Theatre on 15 January 2027 before embarking on a extensive run across the UK and Ireland through June 2027.
Chambers, famous for his roles in Father Brown, Holby City, and his victory on Strictly Come Dancing, plays Ben opposite Fletcher’s Christine. The chilling plot follows Christine, who wakes every morning with no memory of the past twenty years of her life, including her own husband. As she attempts to piece together her forgotten history, terrifying secrets surface, forcing her to question every reality she holds dear.
The production reunites Fletcher with adapter Rachel Wagstaff and director Loveday Ingram, the successful creative team behind the hit 2025 stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train. Chambers expressed his enthusiasm for joining the cast, describing the play as a brilliantly unsettling story centered around memory and trust, while Fletcher noted her delight at reuniting with the creative team to bring the intense relationship between Christine and Ben to life on stage.
S J Watson’s iconic debut novel sold over six million copies globally and inspired the 2014 feature film starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth. The stage premiere coincides with another major milestone for the author, who will publish Before I Sleep Forever, his highly anticipated sequel to the original thriller, in May 2027 via Orenda Books during the tour's run.
Featuring set, costume, and video design by Justin Nardella, lighting design by Jason Taylor, and sound design by Gareth Fry, this gripping theatrical event promises a suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat experience for theatergoers. Chambers will perform in the production through its engagement at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre in early April 2027.
