Voila! Theatre Festival has officially announced its 2026 programme, bringing a massive multi-venue fringe festival to London from 2 to 22 November. Returning for three weeks of performance, live streams, and workshops, the expanded festival will take over eight capital venues with 101 shows featuring 450 artists and celebrating theatre across 60 different languages.
Produced by The Cockpit, this year’s host venues include Barons Court Theatre, Canal Cafe Theatre, Etcetera Theatre, The Playground Theatre, Theatro Technis, The Space Theatre, and Upstairs at the Gatehouse. Following record-breaking ticket sales in 2025, the panlingual festival continues its grassroots ethos, championing underrepresented migrant artists and works that push boundaries. Over half of the 2026 programme will be performed in English alongside at least one other language, using surtitles and accessible staging to bridge communities across the capital.
Highlights at festival home The Cockpit include The Radical Wedding Engine by ESEA migrant collective Ensemble not Found, alongside Bulgarian production Legend of Kaliakra. Barons Court Theatre will host The habit of getting used to it by Nessuno Collective—winner of the inaugural Instituto Cervantes grant—and Taiwanese company Sun Son Theatre's Lament of the Wandering Head.
Elsewhere, Etcetera Theatre presents Italian company Batisfera’s The Gummy Bears’ Great War following its acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run. The Playground Theatre presents Lan Maika's breakup agency comedy Much Crazy About Nothing, while Theatro Technis hosts Akeim Toussaint Buck’s solo dance work Windows of Displacement.
The Space Theatre stages Ukrainian soldier narrative Heaven to Earth Plus, while Upstairs at the Gatehouse presents Natasha Markou’s two-hander Brewtopia alongside Polish folk rock musical Basilitrix. Additionally, Theatre Deli’s residency winner Romeo Lau brings BLONDIE BLUE EYES to Canal Cafe Theatre.
Voila! co-director Fae Fichtner noted that in a changing world, the festival offers Londoners a vital space to connect with global stories, while co-director Katharina Reinthaller highlighted the importance of platforming multilingual artists to reflect the capital’s diverse voices.
