The Barn Theatre’s production of Million Dollar Quartet will embark on a 23-venue UK tour running from January to July 2027, starring Darren Day as record producer Sam Phillips.
Produced under the "Built by Barn" banner alongside Steve Spiegel for TRW Production, the announcement comes during the show's current London season at The Arts at Marble Arch, where performances run through 6 December 2026. The London engagement will span the 70th anniversary of the legendary 4 December 1956 recording session that inspired the musical.
The story dramatises the impromptu jam session in Memphis that brought together Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley. Directed by Jonathan O’Boyle with a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, the musical features rock 'n' roll hits including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "Walk The Line," and "Hound Dog."
The 2027 tour opens at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on 26 January, visiting Southend, Liverpool, Glasgow, Bromley, Ipswich, Cheltenham, Darlington, Bradford, Windsor, Derby, Eastbourne, Swindon, Aberdeen, Portsmouth, Hertford, Carlisle, Crewe, Wolverhampton, Fareham, Blackpool, and Chelmsford, before concluding at Malvern Theatres in July.
The creative team features choreography by Joanna Goodwin, set and costume design by Libby Watson, lighting design by Alex Musgrave, sound design by Nick Lodge, musical supervision by Lee Freeman, and casting by Harry Blumenau.

Originally opening on Broadway in 2010 before its West End debut at the Noël Coward Theatre in 2011, Million Dollar Quartet continues its Cotswolds-developed run following previous Barn transfers such as I’m Sorry Prime Minister, I Can’t Quite Remember.
