Producers of The Hunger Games: On Stage have announced a new company as the live production enters its second year at London's Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.
Beginning Friday, 23 October 2026, the stage adaptation will star Elizabeth Anderson in the lead role of Katniss Everdeen, alongside Vinnie Copeland as Peeta Mellark, Nathan Stokes as Gale Hawthorne, Daisy Statham as Prim, Alix Dunmore as Mrs. Everdeen, Isabel Della-Porta as Effie Trinket, and Theo Ogundipe as Cinna.
British television actors Neil McDermott (EastEnders) and Daniel Brocklebank (Coronation Street) join the cast as Haymitch Abernathy and Caesar Flickerman respectively, while John Malkovich continues his featured role as President Snow on screen. The final performance for the current cast takes place on Monday, 18 October 2026.
Adapted by Conor McPherson (The Weir, Girl from the North Country) from Suzanne Collins’ novel and the Lionsgate film, the production is directed by Matthew Dunster (2:22 - A Ghost Story, Hangmen). The creative team features set design by Miriam Buether, choreography by Charlotte Broom, lighting by Lucy Carter, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph, video design by Tal Rosner, illusions by Chris Fisher, and fight direction by Kev McCurdy.
Staged in a 1,200-seat purpose-built, theatre-in-the-round venue in Canary Wharf, the production brings to life the dystopian narrative following Katniss Everdeen as she navigates a battle for survival against 23 other tributes in the Capitol’s arena.
