Producers ROYO, Revolution Studios, Wendy Federman, Phil Kenny, and Executive Producer Jennifer Garner have announced the release of the Original Cast Recording for 13 Going On 30 – The Musical. Published by Decca Records, the album becomes available to stream across all major platforms from Friday 4 September 2026.
The musical adaptation made its world premiere at the Manchester Opera House in September 2025, playing to sold-out houses and earning a WhatsOnStage Award. Later this year, the production is scheduled to make its North American debut in Toronto as part of the Mirvish 26/27 season.
Based on the hit 2004 romantic comedy film starring Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo, the stage version features a book written by original film screenwriters Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa. The show features a brand-new score with music and lyrics by Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary (First Date, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series).
The album captures the performances of the original Manchester cast, led by Lucie Jones as Jenna Rink, David Hunter as Matt Flamhaff, Grace Mouat as Lucy Wyman, Caleb Roberts as Richard, Andrew Berlin as Kyle, Amelia Minto as Young Jenna, and Max Bispham as Young Matt. They are joined by a full ensemble and a live band under the musical direction of Amy Shackcloth.
The musical follows adorably awkward 13-year-old Jenna Rink, who makes a birthday wish to escape the misery of middle school and wakes up as a "thirty, flirty and thriving" magazine editor. As she navigates the reality of her adult life, she embarks on a journey to discover what truly matters.
With arrangements and orchestrations by Alan Williams, Michael Weiner, and Alan Zachary, the recording is produced by Williams, Weiner, and Zachary, mixed by Joe Rubel, and mastered by Lewis Hopkin. Executive produced by original film lead Jennifer Garner, the release offers fans the chance to experience the show's original music ahead of its upcoming international performances.
