Producers of Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery The Mousetrap have announced a major booking extension at St Martin’s Theatre through to 18 July 2027.
The announcement comes as the West End production prepares to enter its landmark 75th year this November, continuing its record as the world’s longest-running play. Having first opened in 1952, the show recently passed its 30,000th performance and holds an official Guinness World Record for the longest continuous theatrical run.
To mark the upcoming 75th-anniversary milestone, St Martin’s Theatre will undergo a series of planned interior refurbishments. The venue upgrades include comprehensive redecoration of the public-facing areas, the replacement of existing bars across the stalls, dress circle, and upper circle levels, alongside the addition of a new foyer bar to support the ongoing conservation of the historic West End site.
Set in the remote countryside guesthouse Monkswell Manor, the plot follows seven strangers who find themselves snowed in as news spreads of a murder in London. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests discover a killer is hidden among them, prompting each character to confront their past as the investigation unfolds.
The current West End cast, performing through 7 November 2026, features Saranna Parlone as Mollie Ralston, Ben Riddle as Giles Ralston, Stefan Chanyaem as Christopher Wren, Joanne Henry as Mrs Boyle, James Staddon as Major Metcalf, Anna Rawlings as Miss Casewell, Dugald Bruce-Lockhart as Mr Paravicini, and Ben Galvin as Detective Sgt. Trotter. The ensemble is completed by Nancy Doubledee, Bella Farr, Barnaby Jago, Richard Parnwell, and Clive Marlowe.
Directed by Denise Silvey and produced by Brian Fenty, with casting by Ellie Collyer-Bristow CDG, the production runs for two hours and 20 minutes. Tickets are available from £25.
