Brick Lane Music Hall has unveiled its autumn 2026 season, headlined by an original interactive murder mystery production alongside a refreshed brand identity. The upcoming lineup marks a new chapter for the UK’s only permanent music hall venue, introducing Sunday performances for the first time, an updated website, and a new ticketing system as the institution begins the countdown to its 35th anniversary next year.
Leading the season from 2 to 6 October 2026 is The Pleasures of Fanny, a farcical 1940s-set musical whodunnit created by Shannon Rewcroft and Jack Pallister. Performed as a play-within-a-play by the fictional Silvertown Lovies Amateur Group, the production devolves into chaos when a sudden murder blurs the lines between fiction and reality. Audiences are invited to act as sleuths from their seats, examining evidence and questioning suspects to identify the culprit, with prizes awarded for 1940s period dress. The cast features venue founder Vincent Hayes MBE, dame regular Andrew Robley, Lucy Reed, and resident choreographer Jack Pallister.
The broader autumn programme opens with the traditional Cockney Sing-Song from 17 to 19 September, followed by Carradine’s Cockney Sing-A-Long on 20 September. Las Vegas swing tribute Rat Pack & Friends runs from 24 to 26 September, while Vincent’s Variety Showcase takes the stage on 18 and 19 October following its tour to Colchester’s Mercury Theatre. Family entertainment includes Britain's Got Talent performer Mama G on 15 October, a Country Superstars Line Dance-Along on 29 October, and the wartime tribute There’ll Always Be An England from 4 to 6 November.
Executive Director Lucy Hayes and Artistic Director Zara Kattan emphasized that the new season aims to honor traditional music hall heritage while modernizing the experience for contemporary audiences. Combining live comedy, music, and dining options ranging from afternoon teas to three-course meals, the East London venue continues its commitment to community-focused variety theater.
