Perfect for fans of dark comedy, doomed romance and flawed anti-heroes, from Potter’s ‘Singing Detective’ to ‘Slow Horses’ Jackson Lamb. All with a sprinkling of music hall magic and a detective noir vibe.

Until the job is finished, they’re going nowhere. Down in a basement office, Mister David Barclay (played by Lloyd Peters) and his four young agents are working to discover the whereabouts of the ‘lost boys’ (as David refers to them).

How long they’ve been missing and what might have happened to them is frustratingly obscure, especially as David’s memory isn’t what it once was. But find them they must. The clues from ‘outside’ that could help only arrive once in a blue moon and are ambiguous when they do. The key witness keeps changing their story, and our four trusty but investigators find themselves .

Featuring Lloyd Peters – described by Rik Mayall as “the mastermind behind alternative comedy” (Rik Mayall, Inglorious B’Stard. Sky Arts Documentary. July 2026) – as Mister David Barclay, ‘Are You Waiting To Be Found?’ combines dark comedy, music hall nostalgia, and a very unsettling denouement! As the pennies start to drop, and David’s leadership is doubted, the four investigators begin to unravel.

A pair of suspiciously well-kempt boots, a soft shoe shuffle to Flanagan and Allan’s ‘Forget-me-not-Lane’ and a high-stakes vignette from ‘the Scottish play’, finally point towards a chilling conclusion. This unnerving yet darkly comedic noir drama will keep you on your detectorist toes. If you loved ‘The Night Agent’, ‘The Singing Detective’, ‘Slow Horses’ or ‘Piglets’, (with a disturbingly menacing, yet comedic undertone) then this show is for you!
