Trafalgar Releasing has partnered with BroadwayHD to bring the Roundabout Theatre Company’s acclaimed Broadway revival of Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels to cinemas worldwide for a limited engagement starting 22 October 2026. Captured live at the Todd Haimes Theatre in New York, the big-screen release gives global audiences the chance to experience the sold-out production.
Directed by Roundabout Interim Artistic Director Scott Ellis, the production stars Academy Award nominee Rose Byrne and Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara. The comedy earned five Tony Award nominations during its Broadway run, winning for Best Costume Design of a Play.
First premiered in 1925, Coward’s comedy of bad manners follows two upper-class best friends, Julia and Jane, whose husbands leave for a golfing weekend. Over a series of champagne-fueled toasts, the pair recall their pre-marital affairs with the same dashing Frenchman, who happens to be traveling to London to visit them. As the day progresses, past scandals, old rivalries, and growing paranoia surface in a dizzying examination of friendship and romance.
Speaking about the upcoming cinema release, Byrne expressed her excitement that the production will reach international theatregoers, calling Coward’s comedy the perfect entertaining escape. O’Hara added that Coward was a comic genius and shared her delight that audiences around the world will get to experience the story's frivolous charm on the big screen.
The cast also features Drama Desk Award winner Tracee Chimo, Emmy Award winner Mark Consuelos in his Broadway debut, Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald, and Obie Award winner Aasif Mandvi. The creative team includes set designer David Rockwell, costume designer Jeff Mahshie, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, and sound designer John Gromada.
Trafalgar Releasing and BroadwayHD confirmed that the cinema capture will screen across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and selected international territories. Tickets for the limited engagement are available now via the official release website.
