Oh, Mary!, the Olivier and Tony Award-winning smash-hit comedy, has officially announced its highly anticipated summer casting lineup for its run at London’s Trafalgar Theatre. Running from 20 July to 26 September 2026, the critically acclaimed production is set to feature a rotating cast of award-winning stars alongside a special filming event scheduled for late July.
In a major highlight for the summer run, the performances on 28 July will be professionally filmed. Playwright Cole Escola is set to reprise their Tony Award-winning role as the chaotic Mary Todd Lincoln for the capture. Joining Escola for the filmed performances is Giles Terera, returning as Mary’s Husband, a role that earned him an Olivier nomination earlier this year. The filming cast also features two-time Emmy nominee Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher, with original Broadway cast members Bianca Leigh and Tony Macht reprising their roles as Mary’s Chaperone and the Husband’s Assistant under the direction of Sam Pinkleton.
Following the filming, the production will welcome new additions to the summer cast. Dino Fetscher will take over as Mary’s Teacher, while Kate O'Donnell and Oliver Stockley join the company. From 17 August through to the end of September, double RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and Broadway star Jinkx Monsoon will make her highly anticipated West End debut, stepping into the lead role of Mary Todd Lincoln alongside Scott Karim.
Written by Escola, the dark comedy presents an irreverent, 80-minute look at a suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to her husband's assassination. The fast-paced show explores alcoholism, unrequited desires, and suppressed yearnings through a highly comedic lens. Since its premier, the production has smashed box office records in New York and London, earning widespread acclaim. Due to overwhelming demand, the West End run has recently been extended at the Trafalgar Theatre, with bookings now available through to 2 January 2027.
