RENT has officially unveiled its full principal casting for the major upcoming West End revival at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre. Produced by Chris Harper Productions and Sonia Friedman Productions in association with Hope Mill Theatre, the new staging of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical is directed by Olivier Award winner Luke Sheppard. Due to immense popular demand, producers have also announced a significant booking extension, with tickets now on sale until Saturday 27 March 2027.

Joining the previously announced international star Gaten Matarazzo, best known for his Screen Actors Guild Award-winning role in Stranger Things, who will play Mark, the newly revealed principal cast features a lineup of celebrated musical theatre talent. Travis Ross takes on the role of Roger, alongside Bella Brown as Mimi, Billy Nevers as Collins, Lazy Violet as Maureen, Olivier Award nominee Danielle Fiamanya as Joanne, Jeevan Braich as Angel, and Joaquin Pedro Valdes as Benny.

The incoming cast brings an array of high-profile West End credits to the production. Ross recently appeared in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, while Brown starred in Into The Woods at the Bridge Theatre. Nevers joins the company directly from Jesus Christ Superstar at the London Palladium, and Fiamanya recently earned critical acclaim and an Olivier nomination for Brigadoon at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. Braich also joins the cast fresh off winning a WhatsOnStage Award for his professional debut in Starlight Express.

Celebrating 30 years since the musical first premiered on Broadway, this milestone production will begin preview performances on 26 September 2026, ahead of its official opening night on 8 October. Set in New York's East Village and inspired by Puccini's La Bohème, the narrative follows a group of young artists, musicians, and friends navigating love, ambition, and the harsh realities of the era while trying to build lives on their own terms. The creative team also features choreography by Tom Jackson Greaves, set design by David Woodhead, and costume design by Gabriella Slade.
