The critically acclaimed cult musical Ride The Cyclone has made a triumphant, record-shattering return to London, officially hitting box office records for the most tickets sold for any production in the history of Southwark Playhouse. Following a completely sold-out UK premiere run last year, the hit musical returned to Southwark Playhouse Elephant on 17 June 2026 and is set to run until Saturday 22 August 2026.

The production stars RuPaul’s Drag Race UK favorite Divina De Campo, who leads the cast as the mystical mechanical fortune teller, The Amazing Karnak. The talented teenage ensemble features Josh Butler as Noel, Grace Galloway as Jane Doe, Robyn Gilbertson as Constance, Bartek Kraszewski as Mischa, Jack Maverick as Ricky, and Kayna Montecillo as Ocean, with Rebecca D’Lacey and Nathaniel Purnell completing the company as swings.

The darkly comic and unexpectedly moving 90-minute musical tells the story of six high school chamber choir teenagers who find themselves suspended in limbo following a freak roller-coaster accident. One by one, the characters step directly into the spotlight to sing their case and prove to the fortune teller why they uniquely deserve a rare second chance at life.

Brought to life at full tilt, the show features a book, music, and lyrics by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell. This five-star theatrical thrill ride is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee, with musical direction by Ben McQuigg, lighting design by Tim Deiling, and spectacular set and costume designs by Ryan Dawson Laight.

Produced by the theatrical powerhouse team of Kevin McCollum, Morris Berchard, and Jack Maple by arrangement with Broadway Licensing, the production has firmly established itself as a must-see landmark event of the summer theatre season. Audiences are encouraged to book quickly, as tickets for the record-breaking return engagement are selling rapidly.
