The critically acclaimed new British pop musical Hot Mess is officially celebrating its major London run at The Other Palace, with production images released ahead of its highly anticipated opening. The high-energy original romantic comedy is scheduled to perform through the summer, running until September 6, 2026.

Created by Jack Godfrey and Ellie Coote, the award-winning creative duo behind the hit musical 42 Balloons, Hot Mess creatively reimagines the global climate crisis as a turbulent, high-stakes love story between Earth and Humanity. The narrative follows the universe's most iconic couple from their passionate initial connection to a messy, chaotic breakdown, delivering a unique pop-driven commentary on love, hope, and the ultimate environmental breakup.

The production arrives at The Other Palace following an incredibly successful development trajectory. It secured a world premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025 before a subsequent transfer to the Southwark Playhouse last September. Along the way, the production has collected significant industry accolades, including a prestigious Fringe First Award, the Popcorn Writing Award, and Musical Theatre Review’s Best Musical Award.

West End powerhouse Danielle Steers (Six the Musical, Just for One Day) returns to the role of ‘Earth’, reprising her celebrated performance from the sell-out Edinburgh and Southwark Playhouse iterations. Starring alongside her as ‘Humanity’ is Morgan Gregory (The Lightning Thief, Back to the Future). The company is supported by Mia Quimpo and Nathan Shaw as covers.

The production is brought to life by a stellar creative team, featuring music supervision and co-orchestrations by Joe Beighton, choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento, and set design by Shankho Chaudhuri. It is produced through a major collaboration between Vicky Graham Productions, Birmingham Hippodrome, Aria Entertainment, TRW Production, Pascal Ultee Productions, Broadway Asia International, and Willette Klausner.
