Lionsgate, in collaboration with producers Tim Lawson and Simon Painter, has announced that 17-year-old musical magician and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Rafferty Coope has officially completed the cast of the stage illusion spectacular Now You See Me Live. The teenager joins the high-tech production as a special guest act for its strictly limited five- week West End residency at the London Coliseum, running from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, September 6, 2026.
Coope first captured the British public's imagination on the talent competition, earning a coveted Golden Buzzer with his unique piano-led card tricks. His subsequent appearance in the grand final saw him combine music and grand illusion, featuring a piano routine involving the judges and a memorable mind-reading act that secured him a fifth-place finish overall.
"The Now You See Me films were a massive part of my childhood, which helped get me hooked on magic," Coope shared, discussing the upcoming West End engagement. "It blows my mind to think that I will be performing in Now You See Me Live at the London Coliseum in the West End this summer. It's a huge honour to perform in this show with some of the best magical talent in the world. Remember, 'the closer you look, the less you see.'”
Inspired by Lionsgate’s global blockbuster cinematic franchise, the live production functions as a world-class magic ensemble mimicking the films' primary illusionists. Coope joins the previously announced lineup of "The Horsemen," which includes internationally acclaimed illusion designer Enzo Weyne, prominent escapologist Andrew Basso, modern magic star Gabriella Lester, and British storyteller Matthew Pomeroy. The cast is rounded out by fellow Britain's Got Talent alumni Eden Choi and Scottish hypnotist Fraser Penman.
"Rafferty won everybody’s heart on Britain’s Got Talent and we know he will cast the same magic spell on our audiences," said Executive Producer Tim Lawson. Following completely sold-out international residencies at the Sydney Opera House and in Singapore, the production will move to the MGM Grand Theatre in Las Vegas later this autumn. Tickets for the London run are currently available.
