The critically acclaimed immersive show David Bowie: You’re Not Alone is expanding its UK footprint due to popular demand. Producers have announced that the hit production will extend its current run at London’s Lightroom in King’s Cross, while simultaneously preparing for a major new winter run in Manchester.

Originally scheduled to close in October, the London exhibition will now extend its evening performances through the end of 2026. A final week of dedicated shows is also planned from January 5 to January 10 to commemorate what would have been the rock icon's 80th birthday on January 8. Meanwhile, northern fans will be able to experience the spectacle when it opens in Manchester at the Aviva Studios’ Warehouse space, running from December 8 to January 10.

Produced by Lightroom and designed by 59, a Journey studio, the production serves as an immersive journey through the life and artistry of pop culture's ultimate chameleon. The experience seamlessly weaves together landmark performance footage with archive interviews narrated by Bowie himself. The material spans his entire career—from Space Oddity and Diamond Dogs to "Heroes" and Black Star—drawing from thousands of hours of rare and never-before-seen footage sourced directly from the David Bowie Archive in New York.

The project was created in close collaboration with, and fully authorized by, the David Bowie Estate. It was written and directed by Tom Wexler alongside 59’s Mark Grimmer, who previously served as Creative Director for the V&A’s record-breaking David Bowie Is exhibition.

"The response to David Bowie: You’re Not Alone has been phenomenal," said Richard Slaney, Chief Executive of Lightroom. "The show offers the chance to feel the excitement of those groundbreaking performances, and get inside the mind of one of the greats."

Grimmer added that the project intentionally focuses on the musician's humanity rather than his alien mystique, framing him as a champion of human expression. "We designed a show to celebrate Bowie... focusing on the message he expressed time and again: that art, in all its forms, is our best hope for understanding what it means to be alive."
Tickets for both the London and Manchester dates are officially on sale now.
