The Watford Palace Theatre has announced a jam-packed autumn and winter season, featuring a diverse lineup of chilling stage thrillers, high-profile live music acts, acclaimed stand-up comedians, and interactive family entertainment running from September through December 2026.
The theatrical centerpiece of the season is a bold new adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic A Picture of Dorian Gray, running from October 1 to October 3. Produced by Tilted Wig in association with Watford Palace Theatre, the production is directed by Tilted Wig’s Artistic Director Seán Aydon and promises to showcase Wilde’s dark imagination. The theatrical billing also features ThickSkin Theatre’s gripping psychological thriller It Walks Around The House At Night on November 13. For the festive period, the venue's annual pantomime returns with A Christmas Carol: A Pantomime from November 29, 2026, to January 3, 2027, offering a unique local twist on the classic Dickens tale.
Comedy takes center stage with a robust lineup of laugh-out-loud talent. Award-winning comedian Tez Ilyas brings his new show Tez Things I Hate About You on September 5, followed by one-liner master Gary Delaney on October 10. Local favorite Barry From Watford returns on October 15, while Simon Evans presents a quick-witted examination of artificial intelligence and simulated reality on October 17.
The live music schedule features George Michael tribute Fastlove on October 8, ska showcase Too Much Too Young on October 9, and an intimate spoken-word event, An Evening with John Lydon, on October 20. Additional musical highlights include Whitney By Candlelight, Ore Oduba’s The Vintage Boys Rock 'n' Roll Show, and The Opera Boys featuring Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts.
Sports enthusiasts can look forward to exclusive evening events featuring Manchester United icons Steve Bruce and Gary Pallister, as well as a Tottenham Hotspur legends reunion. The theatre will also screen all England matches live from the FIFA World Cup 2026. Furthermore, the venue will continue its popular 1908 Cabaret open-mic nights alongside its tiered Free Friends Membership Scheme.
