Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has officially released first-look rehearsal images and announced the full company of dancers for its upcoming production, A Life in Four Seasons. Running for a strictly limited engagement from June 11th to June 14th, 2026, the highly anticipated show reimagines Antonio Vivaldi’s classic masterpiece as a pulsating, contemporary dance work. A national press performance is scheduled for Friday, June 12th at 7:45 PM.
The production features an exceptional ensemble of sixteen accomplished dancers, including Tanesha Aba, Kazmin Borrer, Robia Brown, Emi Ichikawa, Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, Jacqui Jameson, Susan Kempster, Louis Mackrodt, Christie Lee Manning, Michael Naylor, Laura Dawn Pyatt, Mark Smith, Nadia Sohawon, Beryl Tay, Mami Tomotani, and Ethan Vijn. Directed by the theatre's Associate Artistic Director Tinuke Craig, the piece follows three friends navigating a vibrant city through the metaphorical stages of life, moving from the excitement of spring through to the depths of winter.
The creative team features choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento and a recorded musical score by Olivier Award-winning composer DJ Walde, whose contemporary arrangements build directly upon Vivaldi's original work. Supported by The Thistle Trust, the production is designed to offer an audacious evening of storytelling that examines human growth, unity, and self-acceptance.
"I’m so thrilled to be working on this new and exciting piece of dance with such an accomplished team of artists," said Director Tinuke Craig. "It’s a real honour to work with this company who are bringing such a wealth of experience, such a breadth of styles and approaches and such a generosity of spirit to this project, which aims to examine who we are, what we can change and what we can’t, and how we can grow to love ourselves and each other over the course of a life."
Choreographer Alexzandra Sarmiento added, "The audiences of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre have delighted in experiencing storytelling through an incredible canon of plays, musicals, operas, and other fantastic forms of performance. I'm so pleased that dance is being added to that canon and I can’t wait to share with you what we are cooking up with our incredible company of dancers."
"It's always a pleasure to collaborate with the amazing Tinuke Craig," stated composer DJ Walde. "I'm looking forward to working alongside and creating with this amazing bunch of creatives and these wonderful dancers."
