Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced the full company of dancers for its upcoming production, A Life in Four Seasons. This electric new contemporary dance work reimagines Vivaldi’s musical masterpiece as a pulsating narrative of growth and friendship, running for a limited engagement from 11 to 14 June 2026.

Directed by the theatre’s Associate Artistic Director, Tinuke Craig, the production features choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento and a newly recorded score by award-winning composer DJ Walde. The performance follows three friends as they navigate the spring of youth in a vibrant city, pushing through the relentless heat of summer and the transition of autumn, before finally reaching the reflective depths of winter.

The diverse cast of sixteen dancers includes Tanesha Aba, Kazmin Borrer, Robia Brown, Emi Ichikawa, Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, Jacqui Jameson, Susan Kempster, Louis Mackrodt, Christie Lee Manning, Michael Naylor, Laura Dawn Pyatt, Mark Smith, Nadia Sohawon, Beryl Tay, Mami Tomotani, and Ethan Vijn.

Tinuke Craig expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting the "wealth of experience and breadth of styles" the company brings to the project. The work aims to examine the human capacity for change and the journey toward self-acceptance over the span of a lifetime.

While the venue is traditionally celebrated for its plays, musicals, and operas, A Life in Four Seasons represents a significant addition of contemporary dance to its summer repertoire. Choreographer Alexzandra Sarmiento highlighted the excitement of bringing high-energy storytelling through movement to the iconic outdoor stage.

The creative team includes lighting designer Zeynep Kepekli, set and costume designer Ryan Dawson Laight, and sound designer Max Pappenheim. Supported by The Thistle Trust, this audacious production promises a visceral, high-contrast exploration of Vivaldi’s work.

A Life in Four Seasons will hold its press performance on Friday, 12 June, at 7:45 PM. Tickets are available now for this strictly limited four-night run.
