London has officially caught "marmalade fever." Following a historic night at the Olivier Awards, producers Sonia Friedman Productions, STUDIOCANAL, and Eliza Lumley Productions have announced that the critically acclaimed smash-hit Paddington™ The Musical will extend its run at the Savoy Theatre until 13 February 2028.

The announcement comes on the heels of a dominant awards season. At last night’s ceremony, the production took home seven Olivier Awards, equalling the record for most wins by a musical. Accolades included Best New Musical, Best Director for Luke Sheppard, and individual acting honors for James Hameed, Arti Shah, Tom Edden, and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt.

This success follows a monumental showing at the WhatsOnStage Awards, where the production secured nine trophies—the most for any new musical in the ceremony's history. It also holds the prestigious Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Musical, cementing its status as a "marmalade-flavored masterpiece."

With music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher and a book by Jessica Swale, the musical breathes new life into Michael Bond’s beloved bear. The story follows Paddington’s journey from Darkest Peru to London’s Windsor Gardens. While the Brown family welcomes him with open arms, a mysterious villain threatens his new-found safety, leading to a thrilling rescue mission that explores themes of kindness, inclusion, and the true meaning of family.

The production has been hailed by critics as a visual and technical marvel, featuring world-class puppetry designed by Tahra Zafar and a stellar cast that includes Bonnie Langford, Brenda Edwards, and Timi Akinyosade.

Due to unprecedented demand, the best availability for tickets is currently from Winter 2026 onwards. Fans looking to catch the bear in action can also enter the daily Paddington Ticket Lottery for a chance to see the show at a reduced price.

As the Daily Express noted, the show is a "love-letter to kindness" that London needs now more than ever.
