The producers of the multi-award-winning West End production of CABARET have announced a major casting shake-up at the Kit Kat Club. Tickets below. Starting 25 May 2026, the iconic roles of the Emcee and Sally Bowles will be taken over by two of the industry's most exciting talents: Olivier Award nominee Jamie Muscato and Tony and Grammy Award nominee Joy Woods.

Jamie Muscato, currently starring in One Day: The Musical, brings a staggering resume to the role of the Emcee. Best known for his acclaimed performances as JD in Heathers and Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby, Muscato recently earned an Olivier nomination for his work in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. His residency at the Kit Kat Club is strictly limited, with his final performance scheduled for 19 September 2026.

Joining him as Sally Bowles is Broadway sensation Joy Woods. Making a highly anticipated return to London following her UK concert debut, Woods arrives with significant acclaim for her roles in The Notebook, SIX, and the Broadway revival of Gypsy opposite Audra McDonald. Woods will perform through 5 September 2026, after which the role of Sally will be played by Marina Tavolieri for the remainder of the month.

Since opening in December 2021, Rebecca Frecknall’s reimagined production has become a cultural phenomenon, winning a record-breaking seven Olivier Awards. Now the longest-running production of Cabaret in West End history, the show has surpassed 1,800 performances.

The experience remains unique in London theatre; the venue is transformed into an in-the-round auditorium where guests are immersed in the world of the Kit Kat Club from the moment they enter. Featuring legendary songs like "Wilkommen," "Maybe This Time," and the titular "Cabaret," the production continues to book through January 2027.

With a supporting cast including Ruthie Henshall and Baker Mukasa, this new era of Cabaret promises to maintain the production's reputation as the West End’s most essential ticket.
