In a move sure to delight theater fans and families alike, Decca Records has announced that the digital release of Paddington™ The Musical - Original Cast Recording has been brought forward to 10 April 2026. Originally scheduled for later in the spring, the date was moved up due to overwhelming public demand following the show’s sensational West End debut.
Recorded at the Iconic Abbey Road
This landmark album captures the magic of the stage production, having been recorded with a full orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The recording features the complete West End cast, with the soaring score arranged, orchestrated, and produced by Matt Brind. Fans can look forward to a physical release on vinyl, CD, and Yoto shortly after, arriving on 22 May 2026.
An Olivier-Nominated Sensation
The musical, which opened at the Savoy Theatre to universal acclaim, features music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher and a book by Jessica Swale. Directed by Luke Sheppard, the production has quickly become a "British institution" in its own right. Currently nominated for a staggering 11 Olivier Awards, the show has already secured 9 WhatsOnStage Awards and the prestigious Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Musical.

Critics have been unanimous in their praise for the production, which is currently booking through 30 May 2027. Based on Michael Bond’s beloved A Bear Called Paddington and the global hit films by STUDIOCANAL, the musical’s transition to record allows fans to bring the spirit of 32 Windsor Gardens into their own homes.
