The mayhem in the dining room remains as unpredictable as ever, but behind the scenes at London’s President Hotel, things have never been more precise. Faulty Towers The Dining Experience has announced the appointment of acclaimed chef Jonathan Bradley as its new Head Chef, ushering in a refined culinary chapter for the capital’s longest-running immersive production.

Culinary Excellence Amidst the Chaos

As the global comedy phenomenon continues its record-breaking London run—now booking through December 2026—Bradley’s arrival signals a significant evolution for the show’s three-course offering. While Basil may bark and Manuel may remain perpetually confused, guests can now expect a menu defined by elevated technique and seasonal British classics.

The revamped set menu features sophisticated touches, including:

Tomato soup with vibrant basil oil (VE)

Roast chicken served with carrot purée, savoy cabbage, and dauphinoise potato

Sweet potato and courgette timbale (VE)

Lemon and berry cheesecake with Chantilly cream and a fruits of the forest compote

A Background in High Stakes

Bradley is no stranger to high-pressure environments. With a background rooted in classical technique, he has worked in kitchens influenced by the exacting standards of Gordon Ramsay. Having cooked for global icons like Will Smith and the late Patrick Swayze, he is well-prepared for the "strong personalities" of the Fawlty Towers universe.

"Our audiences come for the comedy, but the dining is fundamental," says producer Jared Harford. "Jonathan’s experience with high standards and big personalities means he should be perfectly prepared for Basil Fawlty!"

Theatre on a Plate

The role presents a unique challenge: the kitchen must coordinate with the performers to ensure every course lands at the exact moment the scripted (and unscripted) chaos unfolds. "Every course has to land at the right moment in the story," Bradley explains. "The chefs, front-of-house, and actors all work together to make the food part of the entertainment."

With the show celebrating its 13th year in London, Bradley is already looking ahead to 2027, exploring a special celebratory menu to mark the production's next major milestone.
