Starting Friday, 20 March 2026, the Tony Award-winning musical will take over the Shaftesbury Theatre for a strictly limited season. This anniversary production marks a significant homecoming, as it features the original Broadway puppets conceived and designed by Rick Lyon.
Leading the neighborhood is Emily Benjamin (Cabaret), pulling double duty as Kate Monster and Lucy The Slut. Joining her is Noah Harrison as Princeton and Rod, while Meg Hateley takes on Mrs. T and the Bad Idea Bear.
The human and puppet residents are rounded out by:

In a nostalgic twist for fans of the show’s London history, original West End company member Julie Atherton returns to the production as Associate Director. She works alongside the original award-winning Broadway director, Jason Moore, ensuring the show’s biting wit and heart remain intact.
The production boasts the iconic music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, with a book by Jeff Whitty. While the "O.G." Broadway puppets and Anna Louizos’ set design return, the show is bolstered by a fresh UK-based creative team, including choreography by Ebony Molina, costume design by Jean Chan, and lighting by Tim Lutkin.
Produced by Kevin McCollum and Jamie Wilson Productions, this limited run offers a rare chance to see the original Broadway staging elements in the heart of the West End.
