An Unexpected Love
The production stars Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, Paddington) as the intellectual giant and celebrated author of The Chronicles of Narnia, C.S. Lewis. Known to his friends as "Jack," Lewis leads a sheltered, orderly life within the academic cloisters of Oxford, built on a foundation of logic and theological certainty.
However, his carefully constructed world is irrevocably transformed by the arrival of Joy Davidman, played by the acclaimed Maggie Siff (Mad Men, Billions). A spirited, sharp-witted American poet, Davidman challenges Lewis’s intellect and awakens a deep, unexpected love that forces the author to confront the fragility of human happiness and the reality of grief.
