London’s immersive sci-fi sensation, Bridge Command, is celebrating its second anniversary on 27 March by plunging its universe into an all-out alien war. After two years of deep-space exploration and peacekeeping, the narrative is shifting toward a high-stakes conflict in the Adamas Belt, marked by the debut of an ambitious new mission format: Frontline Missions.
To signal this new era, Bridge Command has released a brand-new poster and first-look production images, providing a chilling glimpse of the looming alien threat. Since its launch, the experience has welcomed over 20,000 guests across its custom-built starships, evolving into a living universe with 26 distinct missions and a dedicated community.
The new Frontline Missions represent a significant escalation in gameplay, deploying crews directly into active combat zones. Between 19–24 May, the venue will suspend all regular operations on one of its two ships to run these missions as a one-week exclusive launch. Following this period, Frontline Missions will become a permanent fifth mission-type option. Participants can expect large-scale combat, real-time tactical coordination, and moral decisions made under fire, with performance directly impacting a live online map of sectors won or lost.
Artistic Director Owen Kingston noted that while previous stories focused on peacekeeping, this existential threat asks whether humanity can remain a "benevolent force" when faced with destruction. "Science fiction settings are rarely more than a few steps away from all-out war," Kingston remarked, noting that this conflict will open a host of new strategic conundrums for audience participants.
A massive Special Event will officially initiate the war, spanning both ships and the venue’s sci-fi bar, The Mess. General ticket sales begin on Friday, 27 February, following a 48-hour priority window for Discord members. Located at 63 Albert Embankment, Bridge Command continues to offer roles ranging from Helm to Engineering, with individual tickets starting at £59 and private ship bookings available for larger crews.
