The Rotunda Theatre builds on its success.
The Rotunda’s blue domes have become a familiar sight at Brighton Fringe, and a favourite venue for both audiences and artists alike. Boasting three venues – Bubble, Squeak and Pip – The Rotunda is run by performers for performers, and pride themselves in keeping the spirit of the Fringe alive no matter where they are.
‘Everybody knows that the costs of putting on a show at any Fringe can be prohibitive,’ says Ross Ericson, co-creator of The Rotunda, ‘that’s why we do the utmost to keep performers costs down as much as possible. Every year our costs go up and our financial risk grows, but every year we are rewarded by seeing the success of an eclectic mix of new and emerging artists.’
This year the Rotunda will be extending its performer positive model to the Edinburgh Fringe, with its domes popping up on the prime site of George Herriot’s School at Lauriston Place. The Rotunda are extremely pleased to be working with the team at the school in developing this exciting new venue for 2026.
2026 will also see the Rotunda launching the Langton Green Festival (Tunbridge Wells) in June and building on the success launch of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Fringe that they launched last year.
Applications for all festivals are now open and can be made directly or through Eventotron.com.
