The National Theatre Live (NT Live) has officially confirmed that its critically acclaimed production of Arthur Miller’s "All My Sons" will join the 2026 cinema slate. Starring Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Academy Award-nominee Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths), the production is set to hit global cinema screens on April 16, 2026.
A Modern Classic Reimagined
Directed by the visionary Ivo van Hove (A View from the Bridge), this "immensely powerful and gripping" revival has been a standout hit of the current West End season. Captured live during its run at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre, the play explores the fragility of the American Dream through the lens of the Keller family.
The story follows Joe Keller (Cranston), a successful businessman whose wartime profits are tainted by a criminal manufacturing scandal that sent his partner to prison. As the family awaits news of a son missing in action, they are forced to confront the devastating consequences of past choices and the true price of peacetime prosperity.
An Elite Ensemble
The production features a "stupendously well-acted" cast that includes some of the most exciting talents in modern drama:
Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You)
Tom Glynn-Carney (House of the Dragon)
Hayley Squires (The Night Manager)
With scenic and lighting design by long-time Van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld, the staging has been hailed as an "astonishing piece of theatre" by critics, earning rare five-star reviews across the board.
NT Live’s 2026 Season
All My Sons is a cornerstone of a massive year for NT Live. It joins a 2026 lineup that includes:
Hamlet (January 22)
The Audience (February 26)
The Playboy of the Western World (May 28)
Les Liaisons Dangereuses (June 25)
For those unable to catch the production before its West End run concludes on March 7, the cinema broadcast offers a front-row seat to one of the decade's most talked-about performances.
