The producers of the Olivier Award-nominated West End sensation The Choir of Man have officially announced the full cast for the show’s highly anticipated first-ever UK and Ireland tour. The production is set to open at the New Theatre Wimbledon on Saturday, 14 March 2026, before traveling across the country through December.
A Powerhouse Cast Headed for "The Jungle"
Set in a fictional, on-stage pub called "The Jungle," the musical features a cast of nine talented men performing high-energy harmonies, foot-stomping singalongs, and world-class tap dance. The touring company includes several West End alumni and seasoned performers:
Gustav Melbardis as ‘Maestro’
Oluwalonimi Owoyemi as ‘Poet’
Levi Tyrell Johnson as ‘Hard Man’
Joshua Lloyd as ‘Barman’
Sam Walter as ‘Romantic’
The show features a massive setlist of hits from artists like Queen, Adele, Guns & Roses, and Sia, all delivered with a soulful storytelling touch and—in a signature move—free beer for the audience.
The Jungle Choir Community Project
In a new nationwide initiative, producers revealed The Jungle Choir Community Project. In every city on the tour, local choirs will be invited to participate in the opening night performance. These community groups will be provided with rehearsal materials in advance and will join the professional cast on stage for the show's final moments.
Director Nic Doodson explained, "Every city has its own musical heartbeat. Welcoming those voices into the show is a powerful reminder of why this piece exists: to celebrate community and the extraordinary feeling of singing together."
A Global Phenomenon
The tour follows a staggering run of success, including three sold-out seasons at the Sydney Opera House and over 1,000 performances at London’s Arts Theatre. Following its West End closure in early 2024, the show is now transitioning into a major domestic touring force. Produced by a team including Kenny Wax (Six, The Play That Goes Wrong), the show remains one of the most uplifting and sought-after tickets in musical theatre.
