The Belgrade Theatre Coventry is thrilled to announce a vibrant lineup of new productions for 2026 and 2027, featuring a world premiere stage adaptation, a major new musical, and the return of festive family favourites. Artistic Director Corey Campbell, Interim CEO Emma Flatley, and the entire team are excited to welcome audiences to this diverse slate of shows.

Headlining the announcement is I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical, a spectacular production chronicling the incredible, untold life story and music of the 10-time GRAMMY® winner. With a career spanning five decades, 22 albums, and 70 million records sold, Chaka Khan has cemented her status as a global icon. Her story will explode onto the stage from Wednesday, April 1 to Saturday, April 4, 2026.

The theatre will also host the world stage play premiere of a global cultural phenomenon: The Silence of the Lambs. This brand-new production by Indigo Productions and Crossroads Live, in association with Curve, will visit the Belgrade as part of its first-ever UK and Ireland tour from Tuesday, March 30 to Saturday, April 3, 2027.

The season kicks off with A Grain of Sand (March 23-25, 2026), a powerful one-woman show blending Palestinian folklore with real-life testimonies, offering an intimate look at war through a child’s eyes. Families can look forward to The Detective Dog (April 1-2, 2026), an inclusive and accessible performance featuring puppetry, BSL, and creative captions, based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie.

For comedy fans, Stewart Lee brings his tour Stewart Lee vs The Man-Wulf (October 8-10, 2026), featuring a ferocious comedic challenge from his tough-talking, werewolf alter-ego. Finally, the Belgrade’s beloved annual pantomime will be Beauty and the Beast, written by and starring the incomparable Iain Lauchlan, running from Wednesday, November 18, 2026, to Saturday, January 2, 2027.

Tickets for all newly announced shows are now on general sale.
