Following a critically acclaimed, sold-out 2025 UK tour, the chilling stage adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s iconic thriller, The Talented Mr. Ripley, is extending its run into 2026 with a highly anticipated West End transfer on the horizon. Producers Jack Maple, Thomas Hopkins, SAMS Entertainment, and Carl Moellenberg announced the extension and a fresh schedule of dates across the UK and internationally.

The story, set against the sun-drenched backdrop of 1950s Italy, plunges into a world of deception and deadly ambition. Tom Ripley is given a simple task: travel to Italy and bring home the wealthy, carefree Dickie Greenleaf. Yet, as Tom is seduced by Dickie’s glittering life of privilege, his obsession spirals into a dark journey of lies, identity theft, and murder. The production brings the novel—which celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2025 and has inspired multiple film adaptations—to life with “razor-sharp dialogue, psychological intensity, and a chillingly charismatic antihero.”

Ed McVey (The Crown) will continue to star as the eponymous antihero, Tom Ripley, alongside Maisie Smith (Eastenders) as Marge Sherwood and Bruce Herbelin-Earle (Free Reign) as Dickie Greenleaf. The talented cast also features Christopher Bianchi, Cary Crankson, Leda, and Jason Eddy, among others.

Adapted and directed by the celebrated Mark Leipacher, the show has been praised as a “thrilling adaptation” (The Stage, ????) and for its “ingenious stories and brilliantly multi-faceted characters” (WhatsOnStage, ????).

The new leg of the tour begins on January 19, 2026, at the York Grand Opera House, running through May 2026. Key stops include Aberdeen, Windsor, Guildford, Poole, Coventry, and Salisbury, before the production makes its planned move to London's West End.
