3 hearts canvas and Izzy Carney are set to present Jessica Norman’s electrifying debut play, This Little Earth, at the Arcola Theatre (Studio 2) this autumn. Running from October 22nd to November 15th, this new production offers a chilling and timely exploration of conspiracy, grief, and the search for truth in a chaotic world.
The play centres on an unlikely pair: Honey, who is left with a strange pull toward the South Pole following her sister’s death, and Christopher, a staunch Flat-Earther convinced that the world’s true shape is being hidden by powerful forces. Together, they embark on a perilous journey to Antarctica to find the mythical “edge of the world.” What begins as an unconventional love story quickly descends into a fever dream in the planet’s most inhospitable environment, forcing them to confront not only the limits of the Earth but the depths of their own convictions. The central question remains: will they survive discovering what really lies at the ends of the Earth?
This Little Earth is a gripping examination of the strange and sometimes dangerous ways we attempt to control a world that feels increasingly out of our grasp. Directed by former Arcola Artistic Associate Imy Wyatt Corner (known for the award-winning Duck and Fringe First winner BEASTS), the production features a talented cast, with Fanta Barrie (The Ministry of Lesbian Affairs, My Lady Jane) playing Honey and Ross O’Donnellan (Belfast, The Beacon) as Christopher.
Norman's rising profile in the theatre world—with plays longlisted for The Women's Prize for Playwriting and the Theatre503 International Award—cements This Little Earth as a must-see event. The creative team includes Cat Fuller (Set and Costume Designer), Hugo Dodsworth (Light and Projection Designer), Jamie Lu (Sound Designer), and Hamza Ali (Movement Director).
Press Night is scheduled for Friday, October 24th, at 7:00 pm. Don't miss this powerful new drama that asks what happens when belief becomes more real than reality itself.
