Park Theatre has announced an ambitious lineup of shows for its Christmas and Spring seasons, featuring a mix of new productions, returning hits, and star-studded revivals. The season promises a range of genres, from musical comedy to a celebrated one-man show and a long-running murder mystery series.
The holiday season will be highlighted by two distinct shows. In the larger Park200 space, the musical comedy Dracapella will star Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman) as Lucy, alongside Olivier Award-winning actors Stephen Ashfield and Lorna Want, and Ako Mitchell as Dracula. Concurrently, the Park90 venue will host Gawain and the Green Knight, a laugh-out-loud comedy reimagining the classic tale within an eccentric office setting.
Following a sold-out run, Adam Riches’ critically acclaimed show Jimmy returns to the Park200 stage in January. The show chronicles the legendary 1991 US Open comeback of tennis player Jimmy Connors. The new year will also see the London premiere of Consumed, the winner of the 2022 Women’s Prize for Playwriting, a twisted comedy about a dysfunctional Northern Irish family.
The theatre will also celebrate the life of one of Britain’s most celebrated actors in Two Halves of Guinness, a play marking the 25th anniversary of Sir Alec Guinness's death. Star of Classic FM, Zeb Soanes, will portray Guinness, exploring his distinguished career beyond his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Finally, the hugely popular Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] returns for its fourth installment in Park200. This unique murder mystery places a different, unrehearsed celebrity in the central role each night, guided only by an earpiece. This year’s theme is the Wild West, promising a new, immersive experience for audiences.
