The holiday season is coming early to the West End! Aled Jones MBE, Carrie Hope Fletcher, and Joel Montague will headline the smash-hit musical Elf, taking on the roles of Walter Hobbs, Jovie, and Buddy, respectively. The show is set for a limited 10-week run at the Aldwych Theatre, with performances from October 28, 2025, to January 3, 2026. Tickets are on sale now at elflondon.com.
Joel Montague, known for his West End roles in shows like Hamilton and Chicago, will bring his comedic talent to the role of Buddy the Elf. Carrie Hope Fletcher, a multi-award-winning stage veteran celebrated for her performances in Cinderella and Les Misérables, is set to play Jovie. Aled Jones, a beloved singer and TV presenter who first rose to fame with "Walking in the Air" from The Snowman, will make his West End debut as Walter Hobbs.
Based on the cherished 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf tells the heartwarming and hilarious story of Buddy, a human raised as an elf in the North Pole. When he discovers the truth about his past, he travels to New York City to find his birth father, causing chaos and spreading Christmas cheer along the way.
The production, which has seen sold-out runs in London and broken box office records on Broadway, promises to be a festive and fun-filled experience. With a new set adapted for the Aldwych Theatre and a stellar cast, the show is expected to be a major draw for families this Christmas.
This beloved holiday story is directed by Philip Wm. McKinley, with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin and songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin. The full cast also includes Rosanna Hyland, Martyn Ellis, and Lucinda Lawrence.
Tickets for Elf The Musical are available now, and with its limited run, demand is expected to be high.
