Till the Stars Come Down, Beth Steel's smash-hit play, is in the final weeks of its critically acclaimed run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. The National Theatre production, co-produced with Eleanor Lloyd Productions, Fiery Angel, Short Street Productions, and Access Entertainment, must end its run on September 27, 2025.
Hailed as a "modern classic" by The Times, the production has captivated audiences with its powerful, hilarious, and heartbreaking portrayal of a working-class family. The show is directed by Olivier Award-winning director Bijan Sheibani, with its "exquisite writing" brought to life by a stellar ensemble cast.
The cast features a host of familiar faces from stage and screen, including Dorothy Atkinson (known for her roles in Ludwig and Saltburn), Adrian Bower (Gangs of London), Julian Kostov (The White Lotus), Aisling Loftus (Sherwood), and Sinéad Matthews (Hullraisers). The production also offers on-stage seating, inviting audience members to get up close and personal with the "wedding of the year."
Till the Stars Come Down was originally commissioned by the National Theatre, where it had a sold-out world premiere earlier this year and was nominated for "Best New Play" at the 2024 Olivier Awards. This West End transfer marks Beth Steel's debut in the West End, solidifying her reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting new playwrights.
With its limited run coming to an end, this is the last chance for audiences to experience this passionate and emotional production.
