Watford Palace Theatre is set to reopen its doors in September with a brand new, purpose-built creative space and an exceptional autumn programme. The jam-packed season promises a dynamic mix of theatre, comedy, music, and dance for all ages.
The season kicks off with The Illegal Eagles on September 4th, followed by a duo of comedy festivals. The South Asian Comedy Festival (Sept 12-14) will feature top talent like Sindu Vee and Paul Sinha, while the Women in Comedy Festival (Oct 15-18) will bring sets from acclaimed comedians Ania Magliano, Sophie Duker, and Chloe Petts.
For families and younger audiences, the autumn schedule is packed with fun and interactive shows. WiFi Wars (Sept 7) returns for its 10th-anniversary tour, and the new family musical The Dinosaur that Pooped (Oct 28), based on the bestselling books, will be a must-see. The season culminates with the festive panto, Jack and the Beanstalk (Nov 29 - Jan 4), featuring the voice of Stephen Fry as the Giant.
Lovers of music and cabaret have plenty to look forward to, including Dragged to the Musicals (Oct 9) hosted by Divina De Campo and Northern Live: Do I Love You (Nov 1). Audiences can also catch Yeh Dosti: Celebrating 50 Years of Sholay (Sept 27) and a tribute show to Coldplay (Nov 14).
Rounding out the season are a series of special events, including "tell-all" evenings with celebrities like Katy Price and Kerry Katona (Sept 19) and Annabel Croft (Nov 12). The celebrated physicist Professor Brian Cox will also return for an intimate "Work in Progress" show in December.
Tickets for all shows are now available on the Watford Palace Theatre website.
