London's record-breaking hit musical, The Devil Wears Prada: A New Musical, is set to release its official original cast recording. The album, featuring music by the legendary Elton John, will be available on September 19 in digital, CD, and LP formats. Fans can pre-order the album now.
Since its opening at the Dominion Theatre, the musical has become the fastest-selling show in the venue's history and continues to be a box office sensation in the West End. The cast recording promises to capture the magic of the stage show, with lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick.
The CD and digital versions of the album will feature all 18 songs from the musical, performed by the celebrated original West End cast, including Vanessa Williams as Miranda and Georgie Buckland as Andy. As a special bonus for fans, these versions will also include two previously unheard original demos by Elton John: "I Mean Business" and "The Devil Wears Prada." This exclusive content provides a rare glimpse into the creative process of one of the world's most iconic composers.
To celebrate the announcement, a new single from the album, "Miranda Girl," is available now. The song is performed by Georgie Buckland, and its release is accompanied by a new music video.
