Christopher Wheeldon's Like Water for Chocolate also returns in October, with a live audio-described performance and touch tour on October 4 and 24. For a festive treat, Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker will offer accessible shows in late November and December.

On the opera side, Puccini’s beloved Tosca will have multiple accessible performances in October. Handel’s Giustino, a rarely-seen wonder of the operatic repertoire, will receive its first UK professional staging since 1737, with BSL and captioned performances in October. Other notable productions include Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Verdi’s Rigoletto.

The RB&O is also bringing back critically acclaimed productions, such as Oliver Leith’s Last Days, an opera inspired by the final days of Kurt Cobain, and Richard Eyre’s staging of La Traviata. The season’s offerings demonstrate the RB&O’s dedication to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all theatregoers.
