Meaning is a bold new work premiering at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, created by a group of emerging theatre practitioners and led by performing artist Yitong Fu.
Drawing on experimental theatre and contemporary performance, the piece blurs the line between reality and performance, confronting the tensions between artistic truth, ego, and market-driven creation. Is theatre a space for expression—or self-glorification? Can art stay honest in a world obsessed with algorithms, reviews, and returns?
Meaning doesn’t claim to know, but dares to ask—sharply, playfully, and without apology. Whether you're a theatre enthusiast or simply curious, Meaning offers a charged and thought-provoking experience.
