A decade after a dramatic split, star-crossed lovers reunite at the worst time. Guilt, rage, and love collide in this award-winning new play with music.
It’s winter in an isolated rural town where ex-prisoner and recovered addict Evan leads a solemn and solitary existence, until some old ghosts return to unbury a decade’s worth of pain. Joe Eason’s new play with music sets an unflinching gaze on cycles of poverty, addiction, and homophobia in rural communities.
Two Come Home is a self-funded profit-share production by Colchester-based collective Quietland, a collection of low-income queer artists with the common goal of bringing this heart-wrenching story to the stage. After enjoying critical acclaim and award recognition for their 2024 Fringe tour, they will bring Two Come Home to the iconic The Cockpit Theatre in September.
