Omnibus Theatre, the multi-award-winning independent venue in Clapham, has just announced its vibrant Autumn 2025 season, promising a diverse lineup of bold stories, big ideas, and brilliant artists. From sold-out transfers to groundbreaking new work and beloved monthly events, the program is set to captivate audiences in South London.

Highlights and Acclaimed Returns

The season kicks off with Alfie Webster’s debut play, lenny, making its Omnibus debut after a sold-out run at Theatre503. The play, which explores the anxieties of finding one's place in the world, comes highly recommended by acclaimed actor Aimee Lou Wood, who describes it as "beautifully crafted" and deeply connecting.

Also returning are WITHINTHEATRE, fresh from their successful adaptation of 1984, with Boogie on the Bones. This exhilarating piece of gig theatre plunges into Stalin’s Russia, where young rebels risk everything for the forbidden sound of jazz. Freedom, it seems, has never sounded so dangerous.

Tangle Theatre is back with their high-energy adaptation of Julius Caesar. This production promises to infuse African-inspired storytelling into the heart of Ancient Rome, offering a fresh and dynamic take on Shakespeare's classic.

A Season for Every Taste

Artistic Director Marie McCarthy expressed her excitement for the upcoming program: "Our Autumn Season is bursting with bold stories, big ideas, and brilliant artists." The season also features American Candy, a sharp, character-driven comedy unpacking contemporary political tensions, and a mix of pre-Christmas productions, including Oldie Locks and the Three Bears for younger audiences and The Highgate Vampire from Bag of Beard Theatre Company.

Omnibus Theatre’s popular monthly nights are also making a welcome return, including the storytelling event So This Is What Happened, the vibrant open-mic Fridaze, and the improvised musical Lost the Plot. The rapid-response writing event, Hot House, which creates a full show in just one day, is now a regular fixture, promising a raw and immediate reflection of the current world.

Tickets for the Autumn 2025 season are on sale now, with full listings and booking information available at omnibus-clapham.org.
