The critically acclaimed, one-person play "Every Brilliant Thing" is set to make its highly anticipated West End debut at @sohoplace theatre from August 1 to September 27, 2025. Presented by Second Half Productions in association with Nica Burns and Paines Plough, this heartwarming and humorous production promises to delight London audiences.

Written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe and directed by Jeremy Herrin and Macmillan, "Every Brilliant Thing" tells the story of a child who begins creating a list of everything brilliant in the world to help their mother cope with depression. As the list grows through adulthood, it takes on profound significance in their own life, exploring the extraordinary lengths we go to for those we love.

First captivating audiences at Paines Plough's Roundabout at Summerhall in 2014, this wildly popular play has since charmed viewers in over 80 countries and was even adapted into a successful HBO film. Its West End run will feature a stellar rotating cast of four exceptional actors, each bringing their unique talent to the stage.

The season opens with the esteemed Lenny Henry (Othello, August in England), followed by Jonny Donahoe, the play's co-creator and original performer. Later in the run, audiences will see Ambika Mod (One Day, This is Going to Hurt) and the much-loved Sue Perkins (The Great British Bake Off, Just a Minute).

With design by Vicki Mortimer, lighting by Jack Knowles, and sound by Tom Gibbons, "Every Brilliant Thing" is poised to offer a truly memorable theatrical experience. This production is a testament to the enduring power of hope, love, and the small, brilliant things that make life worth living.
