Get ready for a generous serving of noughties' naughtiness and high-energy drama! The highly anticipated Edinburgh Fringe debut of "Footballers' Wives: The Musical" has unveiled its dazzling cast, featuring an array of beloved musical theatre stars. This sassy new musical comedy, based on the iconic ITV series and choreographed by the legendary Arlene Phillips, promises to be a dazzling highlight at the Assembly Rooms Music Hall from Wednesday, July 30th to Sunday, August 24th, 2025.

Rewinding to the heady days of 2002, when Premier League football truly was the new rock 'n' roll, the production dives headfirst into a world of "money, glamour, and bad behaviour." Expect bold noughties' fashion, scandalous plots involving attempted murder and sexual impropriety, alongside plenty of heartbreak, comedy, singing, and dancing – with absolutely no actual football!

Leading the charge is Ceili O'Connor (from Mary Poppins Revival, The Braille Legacy) as the infamous Tanya Turner, scheming to save her marriage and her cheating husband's career. Matt Beveridge (Choir of Man) steps into the boots of team captain Jason Turner. The glamorous model Chardonnay Lane will be portrayed by India Chadwick (Grease UK Tour), alongside Tom Bowen (Get Up, Stand Up!) as her fiancé Kyle Pascoe.

The stellar lineup also includes Leesa Tulley (Why Am I So Single, Six the Musical) as Donna Walmsley, Oliver Evans making his professional musical theatre debut as Ian Walmsley, Ty-Reece Stewart, Emma-Jane Fearnley, Laura Judge, Matt Rixon, Leonardo Vieira, and Gillian Kirkpatrick.

With music and lyrics by Kath Gotts (Bad Girls The Musical) and a book by original Footballers' Wives creator Maureen Chadwick, directed by Anthony Banks, this brazenly British musical is primed for serious fun. Leesa Tulley, a Scottish native, expressed her excitement for her Fringe debut, while India Chadwick promised "noughties naughtiness, fun and glamour."

Tickets are available now via www.assemblyfestival.com for what is set to be one of the Fringe's most talked-about shows.
