Olga Kulchynska stars as Mimì and Pene Pati, who makes his Royal Opera debut, shares the role of Rodolfo with Stefan Pop. They are joined by Mikhail Timoshenko as Marcello, Amina Edris and Simona Mihai as Musetta, Jolyon Loy as Schaunard, Aleksei Kulagin as Colline, Eddie Wade as Benoît and Wyne Pencarreg as Alcindoro. Edris and Kulagin also make their debuts with The Royal Opera.
The creative team is comprised of designer Stewart Laing, lighting designer Mimi Jordan Sherin and movement director Sarah Fahie.
Scappucci made her house debut conducting Verdi’s Attila in 2022 and was announced as Principal Guest Conductor in June 2023. She takes up the position officially in September 2025, becoming the first Principal Guest Conductor since 1997. In her role, Scappucci will work across a range of repertoire as well as working with Jette Parker Artists and being a part of the Royal Ballet & Opera’s Learning and Participation work.
