Rhythm&Ruse - a new immersive experience, will transport guests to an underground speakeasy at a secret location in the heart of Central London for an exclusive night of marvels and wonders like no other. Rhythm&Ruse will invite guests to enter The House of the Occult, a mysterious world of jazz age glamour and enchantment, where anything seems possible.
As live jazz sets the scene, guests will be left spellbound by close-up magic and dazzled by world class cabaret, all while indulging in limitless libations from the House’s open bar, all from the comfort of their table. Whether guests want to unravel the mysteries of the House, hope for the chance to be spirited away on a closed-door adventure for their eyes only, or simply sit back and soak up the magic all around, they will be guaranteed a unique and captivating night out.

Immergence today announced their new immersive experience, Rhythm&Ruse, will launch in London later in 2024. The production combines close-up magic, live jazz music and world-class cabaret layered together to create the most magical night out in London. Guests will step into a fully realised jazz age speakeasy, where they will encounter the members of a secret society - with a shadowy history to discover - presenting the world's best close-up magic and cabaret. A live jazz band will accompany the magicians, and cabaret performers will host the evening with singing, comedy and larger-than-life stage magic accompanying the close-up performances.

Additionally, specially selected audience members will have the opportunity to experience unique elements of the performance only for them as they delve deeper into the story of the House of The Occult, with behind-closed-doors performances from hosts and magicians alike.

Directed by Fania Grigoriou, with musical direction by Naomi Banks, and hosted and devised by Sam Booth and Mallory Gracenin, the production brings together some of the world's most loved and renowned immersive theatre creative talents, most recently seen in Punchdrunk's 'The Burnt City'. The creative team have devised and performed in immersive theatre work all over the world, and have decades of experience delivering unique and memorable entertainment to audiences in an intimate and immersive setting.

Uniquely, Rhythm&Ruse guests will also enjoy limitless libations from the House of The Occult's open bar, enabling guests to leave the worries of the real world behind and revel (responsibly) in a wide range of premium beverages.

In addition, Rhythm&Ruse will host cabaret artists, comedians, magicians, musicians and more who want to present their work at London's newest 150-seat venue. Producers Immergence are welcoming applications from independent performers who would like a place to showcase their new work later this year.
