For fans of sci-fi classics like Black Mirror and Blade Runner, Adrift is a piece of new writing coming to Canary Wharf this October after its successful debut at Camden Fringe earlier this year. A fresh take on staged science fiction, this psychological thriller explores the darkest side of human nature and questionable uses of artificial intelligence. Winner of the Stella Wilke Award 2023.

Adrift comes to The Space Theatre for four in-person performances running between the 4th - 7th of October inclusive. All showings are at 7:30pm. A digital livestream will take place on the 6th of October.

Eli drifts through deep space with only Ada, the ship’s artificial intelligence, for company. In the pair's need for physical companionship, how far are they willing to go?

As Eli struggles to cling to life, Ada goes to extreme lengths to find what it means to live.

Hagstone Theatre are an emerging company focusing on fantastical settings rooted in relevant issues. Adrift, their fringe debut, is a true love letter to dystopian sci-fi. Bold, unsettling and unafraid in tackling themes of domestic and sexual abuse.

Adrift was first produced for East 15's Debut Festival of new plays in March 2023 and had a successful run at The Cockpit as a part of Camden Fringe in August 2023. Directed by Lewis Maines. Written by Konstancja Kendall. Performed by Konstancja Kendall, Alfie Ford and Meeri Aro. Stage management by Jasmine Kint.
