The Capitol has arrived in London. Today marks the release of the official trailer for the highly anticipated global stage premiere of The Hunger Games: On Stage. Based on Suzanne Collins’s best-selling novels and the Lionsgate film franchise, this live theatrical event is currently captivating audiences at the custom-built Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.

A Dystopian Masterpiece Reimagined

Adapted by Olivier Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson (Girl from the North Country) and directed by Matthew Dunster (2:22 A Ghost Story), the production brings the world of Panem to life with unprecedented scale. The show utilizes a state-of-the-art, 1,200-seat "theatre-in-the-round" venue, designed specifically to place the audience in the heart of the arena as 24 tributes fight for survival.

The newly released footage showcases the visceral, high-stakes energy of the production, highlighting the courageous journey of Katniss Everdeen as she evolves from a District 12 volunteer into a symbol of national rebellion.

The Face of the Rebellion

The production features a powerhouse cast led by Mia Carragher as the fearless Katniss Everdeen. Joining her are Euan Garrett as Peeta Mellark, Joshua Lacey as Haymitch Abernathy, and Tristan Waterson as Gale Hawthorne. The iconic residents of the Capitol are portrayed by Tamsin Carroll (Effie Trinket) and Stavros Demetraki (Caesar Flickerman), bringing the chilling contrast between the districts and their oppressors to the stage.

A Global Phenomenon

The launch of the stage play arrives during a massive year for the franchise. Following the 2025 publication of Collins's latest novel, Sunrise on the Reaping, fans are preparing for a new cinematic entry in November 2026. This stage adaptation serves as a gripping bridge for enthusiasts, offering a "no-holds-barred" exploration of courage and the human spirit.

The Hunger Games: On Stage is currently booking through October 2026. Tickets and the full trailer are available at www.thehungergamesonstage.com.
