Evening Standard ‘Emerging Talent’ award winning actor Tyrone Huntley is set to reprise the role of ‘Judas’ in Jesus Christ Superstar from 11th August – 23rd September at Regents Park Open Air Theatre. The Olivier Award winning musical is once again directed by Timothy Sheader with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice.

This talented young Olivier award nominated actor played CC in the multi award winning West End production of ‘Dreamgirls’ alongside Amber Riley and is set to set the stage alight once more with his award winning performance of ‘Judas’.

Tyrone also won the ‘Best Actor’ award at the Mousetrap Awards, voted for by an audience of 15-23 year olds and earlier this year also received a coveted Olivier Award and What’s On Stage nominations for ‘Judas’.

Other theatre productions Tyrone has been involved in include: Gator in Memphis (Shaftesbury Theatre, BroadwayWorld Award nomination); Porgy & Bess (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre); Seaweed in Hairspray (Leicester Curve); Doctor in Book of Mormon (Prince of Wales, BroadwayWorld Award nomination), Genie in Aladdin (King's Lynn Corn Exchange); Lanx in Angel City (Edinburgh Fringe) and TJ in Sister Act (National Tour).

Originally from Lincoln, Tyrone graduated from Mountview with a first class honours degree in Musical Theatre and whilst performing a grueling schedule in the ‘Book Of Mormon’ he studied, and was awarded a distinction for his Graduate Diploma in Law from The University of Huddersfield!

Tyrone loves working out and running, partly due to his love of cake but also to stay healthy and fit. He is also a pescetarian. He is also a budding singer /songwriter and recently took up the piano.
